ΠΑΓΚΟΣΜΙΟ ΣΟΚ ΑΠΟ ΤΟ ΜΑΚΕΛΕΙΟ ΣΤΗ ΝΙΚΑΙΑ ΤΗΣ ΓΑΛΛΙΑΣ (VIDEO PHOTOS)

Φρίκη και αποτροπιασμό για το τρομοκρατικό χτύπημα στη Νίκαια της Γαλλίας εκφράζει σύσσωμη η διεθνής κοινότητα. Λίγες ώρες μετά το μακελειό, που άφησε τουλάχιστον 80 νεκρούς και δεκάδες τραυματίες, Ευρώπη και ΗΠΑ διαμηνύουν ότι η επίθεση ανήμερα της εθνικής εορτής αποτελεί επίθεση όχι μόνο εναντίον του λαού της Γαλλίας, αλλά εναντίον του συνόλου του ελεύθερου κόσμου.

Το Συμβούλιο Ασφαλείας του OHE «καταδίκασε με τον πλέον έντονο τρόπο τη βάρβαρη και άνανδρη τρομοκρατική επίθεση». Σε ψήφισμά τους που εγκρίθηκε ομόφωνα, τα 15 κράτη μέλη του ΣΑ του ΟΗΕ εκφράζουν «τη βαθιά τους συμπάθεια και τα συλλυπητήριά τους» στις οικογένειες των θυμάτων της επίθεσης και στη γαλλική κυβέρνηση.

Ο πρόεδρος των ΗΠΑ Μπαράκ Ομπάμα καταδίκασε την επίθεση και εξέφρασε την ετοιμότητα των ΗΠΑ να προσφέρουν οποιαδήποτε αρωγή χρειάζεται η Γαλλία στις έρευνές της. «Εκ μέρους του αμερικανικού λαού, καταδικάζω με τον σθεναρότερο τρόπο την κατά τα φαινόμενα φρικτή τρομοκρατική επίθεση στη Νίκαια της Γαλλίας, στην οποία σκοτώθηκαν και τραυματίστηκαν δεκάδες αθώων πολιτών» είπε ο Ομπάμα σε δήλωσή του.

Οι Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες καταβάλλουν «κάθε δυνατή προσπάθεια για να εξακριβώσουν την τύχη των αμερικανών πολιτών στη Νίκαια» ανέφερε σε γραπτή δήλωσή του ο αμερικανός υπουργός Εξωτερικών Τζον Κέρι. Σε γραπτή δήλωσή του νωρίτερα, ο Κέρι σημείωσε ότι οι ΗΠΑ θα προσφέρουν στη Γαλλία κάθε αρωγή που θα χρειαστεί.

«Είναι τραγικό ότι η Γαλλία βιώνει σε υπερθετικό βαθμό τη βία και την τραγωδία. Είναι απαραίτητο να σταθούμε δυναμικά στο πλευρό των Γάλλων. Είναι ένας πόλεμος κατά των τρομοκρατικών ομάδων, των ακραίων αυτών τζιχαντιστικών ομάδων» δήλωσε η υποψήφια του Δημοκρατικού Κόμματος για τις προεδρικές εκλογές των ΗΠΑ Χίλαρι Κλίντον στην εκπομπή The O’Reilly Factor του τηλεοπτικού δικτύου Fox News.

Σε συνέντευξή του στην ίδια εκπομπή, ο υποψήφιος για το χρίσμα των Ρεπουμπλικάνων, Ντόναλτ Τραμπ, δήλωσε: «Είναι πόλεμος». Ο Τραμπ ανέβαλε την προγραμματισμένη για σήμερα, Παρασκευή, ανακοίνωση του ονόματος του υποψηφίου αντιπροέδρου του, με ανάρτηση που έκανε στο Twitter.

«Μετά την τρομερή επίθεση στη Νίκαια της Γαλλίας, αναβάλλω τη συνέντευξη Τύπου για την ανακοίνωση του ονόματος του υποψηφίου αντιπροέδρου». Ο Τραμπ υποστηρίζει τον πόλεμο κατά της ISIS, την οποία αποκαλεί «καρκίνο». Παράλληλα, προτείνει τη δραστηριοποίηση του ΝΑΤΟ κατά των τζιχαντιστών, υποστηρίζοντας ότι η συμμαχία θα πρέπει ν' αξιοποιηθεί «για έναν σκοπό». Δηλώνει επίσης ότι στην περίπτωση που εκλεγεί στην προεδρία των ΗΠΑ, θα ζητήσει από το Κογκρέσο την κήρυξη πολέμου κατά του Ισλαμικού Κράτους.
 

Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών της Βρετανίας Μπόρις Τζόνσον έγραψε στο Twitter πως είναι «συγκλονισμένος και θλιμμένος από το αποτρόπαιο γεγονός στη Νίκαια και την τραγική απώλεια τόσων ανθρώπων».

Το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών της Βρετανίας εξέδωσε ταξιδιωτική οδηγία στην οποία αναφέρει: «Βρισκόμαστε σε επαφή με τις τοπικές αρχές και προσπαθούμε να συγκεντρώσουμε περισσότερες πληροφορίες μετά την επίθεση που όπως φαίνεται σημειώθηκε κατά τους εορτασμούς για την Ημέρα της Βαστίλλης στη Νίκαια. Εάν βρίσκεστε στην περιοχή, ακολουθήστε τις οδηγίες των γαλλικών αρχών» αναφέρει η οδηγία του Φόρεϊν Όφις.

«Η Γερμανία στέκεται στο πλευρό της Γαλλίας στη μάχη κατά της τρομοκρατίας» δήλωσε από τη Μογγολία, όπου διεξάγεται η σύνοδος Ευρώπης-Ασίας (ASEM) η γερμανίδα καγκελάριος Άνγκελα Μέρκελ, εκφράζοντας τη βεβαιότητα ότι παρά τις δυσκολίες «αυτή τη μάχη θα την κερδίσουμε».

«Όλοι εμείς που έχουμε έρθει μαζί στη σύνοδο κορυφής της ASEM είμαστε ενωμένοι και καταδικάζουμε την επίθεση της της μαζικής δολοφονίας στη Νίκαια» είπε η Μέρκελ στο περιθώριο της 11ης συνόδου, υπογραμμίζοντας: «Η Γερμανία στέκεται στο πλευρό της Γαλλίας στη μάχη κατά της τρομοκρατίας, ενωμένη μαζί με πολλούς, πολλούς άλλους. Είμαι πεπεισμένη ότι, παρά τις δυσκολίες, θα κερδίσουμε αυτή τη μάχη».

Από την πλευρά του ο ομοσπονδιακός πρόεδρος της Γερμανίας Γιοάχιμ Γκάουκ εξέφρασε τα συλλυπητήριά του στον γάλλο πρόεδρο Φρανσουά Ολάντ, τονίζοντας σε γραπτή δήλωσή του:

«Η 14η Ιουλίου, η μέρα που η Γαλλία γιορτάζει την εθνική της επέτειο, συμβολίζει τις αξίες της Γαλλικής Επανάστασης, οι οποίες είναι και δικές μας αξίες. Μια επίθεση, επομένως, εναντίον της Γαλλίας αποτελεί και επίθεση εναντίον του συνόλου του ελεύθερου κόσμου. Η σκέψη μου και η συμπάθειά μου βρίσκονται αυτές τις δύσκολες ώρες με τα θύματα, τους συγγενείς τους και όλους τους συμπατριώτες σας».

Σύμφωνα με το γερμανικό ΥΠΕΞ, κανένας Γερμανός δεν έχει διαπιστωθεί -για την ώρα- ότι βρίσκεται μεταξύ των θυμάτων. «Το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών, η γερμανική πρεσβεία στο Παρίσι και το γενικό προξενείο στη Μασσαλία βρίσκονται σε στενή και συνεχή επικοινωνία με τις γαλλικές αρχές προκειμένου να διαπιστώσουν εάν έχουν πληγεί Γερμανοί» δήλωσε στο Γερμανικό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων εκπρόσωπος του υπουργείου. «Αυτό δεν μπορούμε αυτή τη στιγμή ούτε να το αποκλείσουμε ούτε να το επιβεβαιώσουμε» πρόσθεσε η ίδια.

Η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση θα πολεμήσει την τρομοκρατία εντός και εκτός των συνόρων της, δήλωσε ο πρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Ζαν-Κλοντ Γιούνκερ. «Θα πολεμήσουμε την τρομοκρατία εντός και εκτός της ΕΕ» έγραψε στο Twitter, προσθέτοντας: «Θα δείξουμε αποφασιστικότητά αλλά και ενότητα».

Η Ευρώπη στέκει ενωμένη στο πλευρό του γαλλικού λαού και της γαλλικής κυβέρνησης στον αγώνα εναντίον της βίας και του μίσους, τόνισε ο πρόεδρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Συμβουλίου Ντόναλντ Τουσκ.

Ο υπουργός Εξωτερικών του Βελγίου Ντιντιέ Ρεντέρ έκανε λόγο για μια «βάρβαρη» επίθεση. Ο Τουσκ και ο Ρεντέρ έκαναν τις παραπάνω δηλώσεις στο περιθώριο συνόδου που διεξάγεται στην πρωτεύουσα της Μογγολίας, την Ουλάν Μπατόρ.

Ανακοίνωση εξέδωσε και το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών της Σιγκαπούρης. «Είμαστε σοκαρισμένοι και λυπημένοι από την τρομοκρατική επίθεση. Οι σκέψεις μας είναι με τους Γάλλους τη στιγμή αυτή» ανέφερε η ανακοίνωση, στην οποία εκφράζονται τα συλλυπητήρια του λαού της Σιγκαπούρης προς τις οικογένειες των θυμάτων, αλλά και τις ευχές για ταχεία ανάρρωση στους τραυματίες.

Today the delivery truck, riddled with bullets, remains in the centre of Nice with bodies strewn nearby. 

Damien Allemand, a journalist for French regional newspaper Nice Matin saw the horror unfold.

He said the attack began just as the fireworks display ended as thousands of people were milling around the waterside. 

He said: 'He rode up onto the Prom and piled into the crowd. A fraction of a second later, an enormous white truck came along at a crazy speed, turning the wheel to mow down the maximum number of people,' he said. I saw bodies flying like bowling pins along its route. Heard noises, cries that I will never forget.'

Witnesses of the attack in Nice described seeing people run through the streets as they heard gunshots.

Wassim Bouhel told the French TV channel iTele that the lorry zigzagged across the road.

He said: 'We almost died. It was like hallucinating ... (the lorry) zigzagged - you had no idea where it was going. My wife was a metre away.

'The lorry ripped through everything, poles, trees. We have never seen anything like it. Some people were hanging on the door and tried to stop it.' 

Around 100 people were forced to dive into the sea as panic ensued and holiday crowds desperately ran for their lives. The gunman then jumped out of the truck and opened fire, which is when he was shot dead by police.

French President Francois Hollande said several children were among the dead and added that it was 'undeniable' the massacre was a terrorist attack.

Anti-terror police swooped in as the city was put on lockdown and residents were warned to stay indoors for their safety. Gunshots rang out in the streets, with the gunman targeting hotels and cafes in the port city in the south of France.

One witness called Antoine said: 'We were at the Neptune beach and a firework display had just finished. That is when we saw a white lorry. It was going quickly at 60-70 kilometres an hour.'

Eyewitness Wassim Bouhlel said that he saw a truck drive into the crowd and then witnessed the man emerge with a gun and start shooting.

'There was carnage on the road,' Bouhlel said. 'Bodies everywhere.'  

Bodies could be seen lying on the floor by the beach, as the police and other emergency services tried to deal with a mass panic. 

French police riddled the truck with gunfire in an effort to kill the crazed driver of the truck which ran down hundreds of people
